Since 2023, Laura has worked alongside The Mattering Movement to develop and expand the Mattering Curriculum. After piloting internationally with 1,500+ students in 150 high schools, 97% of students reported a greater sense of mattering and belonging. The program has expanded as an active initiative at Harvard University and is under formal study at the University of Pennsylvania – positioning it as an international model for student mental health support and community connection.

Curriculum Pilot Development

Built the full collection of student, teacher, and parent materials with a focus on accessibility and students’ in-classroom engagement.

Evaluation Tools

Implemented surveys, measurement, and feedback solutions to capture student and teacher insight.

Strategic Support and Brand Expansion

Partnered with author Jennifer Breheny Wallace to align marketing, messaging, and outreach with the release of her book Mattering (2026) and the movement’s broader mission.

Scale

Laura continues to support the scale and growth of The Mattering Movement alongside founders Jennifer Breheny Wallace and Sarah Bennison – expanding the curriculum’s reach, amplifying its message, and positioning the initiative for lasting worldwide impact.
