In 2025, the Tackling Tech program with JREID InDeed and the American Heart Association equipped high school students with future-ready skills while partnering with ProX to pay interns for their work. The interns’ capstone projects including videos and website builds will launch nationally within the 2025/2026 NFL season, proving how education, equity, and opportunity can scale together.

5-week CompSci Internship + Career Prep

After its 3rd year, Tackling Tech has been successfully piloted among 100 interns. In 2025, the program offered HS students the chance to build nationwide campaigns supporting Justin’s ambassadorship with the American Heart Association.

Critical Local Impact

Interns were paid for their work, expanded their resumes, and networked with local professionals to further opportunities beyond the internship. 100% of interns reported learning new skills from the hybrid workplace and training experience.

Scale

Furthering Justin’s commitment to tech education for economically excluded youth, JREID InDeed will extend Tackling Tech to New Orleans and Kansas City in 2026. The repeatable blueprint developed and executed by Laura will add new partners, grant funding, and sponsors for resilient, long-term impact across states.
