The JREID InDeed Tackling Tech Internship equips high school students with future-ready tech skills while paying them for their work. As an advisor and consultant to the program, Laura created and designed the CompSci curriculum taught to interns.

In 2025, the program gave students the chance to build real, nationwide campaigns – including videos, presentations, and websites – supporting Justin Reid’s ambassadorship with the American Heart Association during the NFL season.

Laura also took on impact measurement for the program, building out the metrics the team uses to track outcomes and guide continued growth. She rounded out the work with one-sheets, presentations, and website pages to help tell the program’s story to partners and supporters.

The result: 100% of interns reported learning new skills through the hybrid workplace and training experience, while expanding their resumes and networking with local professionals. Furthering Justin’s commitment to tech education for economically excluded youth, the blueprint Laura helped build is now scaling – with JREID InDeed extending Tackling Tech to New Orleans and Kansas City in 2026, backed by new partners, funding, and sponsors.
